Intro

Welcome to the first part in a series I'm calling the Homestead Templates. These templates are built as a sort of Tier 1.5, Being bigger, better furnished, and more complex than the vanilla Tier 1, whilst keeping the Tier 1 design philosophy and style. They start implementing height differences, such as sunken floors, raised patios, and low height balconies.

Building Description:

Being 38 X 23, the Homestead is quite large for a house and workspace for 1. Being large, it holds all the amenities a hearthling could want. It even includes a washstation. The workspace holds a number of shelves, bins and tables, enough to hold 2 batches of wood, 2 batches of coal, and a batch of every other ore and ingot(in the vanilla game). It also comes with 3 work completed shelves.

Building constraints:

To properly build this Homestead, one needs to dig a 20 x 21 x 1 ditch, to make space for the sunken workspace. The building overhangs the hole by 1 block to either side and the back, and the house extends an aditional 17 to the front.


Announcement

I have plans to continue building templates for the forseeable future, and am working on puting all the templates into homologated TEMPLATE PACKS. I just need to work on how I'm going to organize the individual packs. There will also be a large MEGA PACK with everything I produce. THis should be finished by week's end, but I reserve the right to push that deadline back.
