Extra Potion Dialogue

Description
If you haven't looked through the game code, you might not know that there are references to early versions of systems now in Vermintide 2. For instance, there are references to 'stances' that players could activate and unlock, that would presumably change your character's skills and stats. There are also references to a 'prestige' system that sounds similar to arena shooter games.

One of these unused features was a series of dialogue events that would play when your character switched from offensive to defensive stances, and vice versa. This mod plays offensive sound events when drinking a strength, defensive sound events when drinking a speed potion, and random offensive / defensive sound events when drinking a concentration potion. The voicelines play for unmodded players, even when not hosting the lobby. No sound events play in the Keep.

Who doesn't like unused voice lines?

I really do not understand fatshart sometimes. These are free voice ult lines, most of which can still work in cases like this (or crits, headshots, elite kills, etc.), yet have laid forgotten amidst the game code. Why not add this in? It's like the weave skins, free content that is just sitting unused, just to then be added after months(years) of waiting to the "praise" of the community. Ridiculous.

Does this replace existing voicelines or purely add to them?

There is actually a system like this in the 3rd Edition of Warhammer Fantasy RPG, where characters had different abilities that did different things based on whether they were being "aggressive" or "conservative".

Not surprised they scrapped that - it works fine in a turn-based tabletop RPG, a bit clunky in something far more fast-paced like Vermintide.

Still, neat little piece of trivia, that.
