Apache_Mk_801-1710

Description
The Apache is a heavily armed assault pinnace with room for 6 Marines and 1 Pilot.

It has a large number of fuel tanks for extended missions and a "hibernate mode" which turns everything off except 1 generator and the refrigeration units.

There is an airlock located aft of the cockpit for quick entry to the back section of the pinnace.

Statistics can be found in the screenshots.

UPDATE: Added more RCS blocks to improve the Pitch and Yaw.

There it is, I've slightly more than doubled the Yaw to 1.56 deg/second/second, Pitch and Roll have also increased dramatically.

IDK, I tested it on multiple mouse dpi settings, they all seem the same to me, however, for an armed assault pinnace if feels quite responsive now, ... still, doesn't 94 Reaction Control System blocks seem a bit silly?

Should a better RCS block be suggested to the developers?

The craft is also a bit more fragile though, ... trade offs I guess.

Okay, I can add more RCS and get the Yaw up to +1.00 or so, beyond that, would be difficult as the craft uses all Harden Steel, plus all the equipment. 64 would be difficult though as the design was not intended to be a fighter (for that you would have to strip it down to the frame-seats, constructors, storage and refrigerators- all would have to go), it was primarily designed to carry troops plus equipment(and loot) and lend air support to said troops.

It doesn't matter where the RCS blocks go, but I'll test it out to see what does what plus the different dpi mouse settings.

I tried out the new version - It's alot better but atleast to me and my friend it still feels a bit slow. I read around that usually it's around 1 RSC per 2~ tons so it'd need to be around the 64/62 range on what you have [in terms of RCS] - Also, you gotta group them :P They're all ungrouped.

I'm probably wrong as i'm still relatively new to the game, but it's just what i've noticed. Idk if you have the means to change your DPI to see what it's like with mine: But with default in-game sensitivty and 1600 DPI is where it's having trouble [atleast for me] just hovering and tryign to turn with the mouse.

(going to update the Cherokee now)

Thank You for the input Ahzu, but a lot of thought did go into it's overall design, I just got used to the way the "Cherokee" flew and thought it was normal. I will look into the "Yaw" issue, 0.12degrees per second squared is quite slow (i usually Roll right and left). Let's try ... more RCS blocks?

Okay, I've increased the Pitch and Yaw to more than double, flew it around in Creative, seems to have more response, ... thanks to Ahzu for the feedback as this really does help one to improve their submissions.

Tried it - it's INCREDIBLY slow to turn that I'd have to set my DPI to the max it can be to even think to make it useable. It's nice and has a lot of functionality, but I don't think a lot of thought was put into making it an actual useable vehicle that can turn well. I have a 12-14~ inch mousepad and I had to drag my mouse around like 30 times just to do a 180
