Atlas Sea Wind Turbine (left side oriented) - 20MW

Description
Stylish sea wind turbine. The statue is made of lightweight polymer specifically designed to catch the wind and the base is acting as a solar panel with batteries to release energy when there is no wind. This is the left side oriented statue, but both turning on the same way since wind turbine only rotates in one way. And as per all wind turbines, the rotation speed is directly related to the speed of the wind. A real marvel for any coastline or harbor. Comes fully lighted. A real marvel for any coastline or harbor! See how light can play, would even say can dance, with the statue by casting different color on it in the first video.

Right side oriented available here: https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1414680637

Electricity production: 0-20 MW
Height: 80m

For the pictures and the vids, here the mods that I've used and I advise them all:

This is my very first asset for the game. An Atlas sculpture, from the famous video game, that I have adapted specifically for Cities Skyline. Inspired by the work of REVO and egiptologo91, I wanted to have an animated spinning version to bring life to my city. So I've extracted the original mesh and I've reworked it entirely, vertex by vertex, to keep as much as possible the sculptural aspect of it (meaning the impression of a flesh being aswell as the hardinest of the stone.

The Uv was redone to fit more to the new model, as well as the normal map for sharper look and a specular map have been handcrafted to enhance the wounds and the scratch all over Atlas and its out-ring. A manual cleaning was made for a great quality LOD of level 2. The Atlas's texture is the one from the game with the modification made to it by REVO (thanks!), plus my little magic touch added. The pedestal have been created with great UV map cares to hold the granite texture.

Both item are perfectly synchronized in their rotation in game. And the best, it ends up as a way to produce electricity since it's acting as a sea wind turbine.

Technical details:

- LOD1: 2384 faces
- LOD2: 1216 faces (it's a huge asset in my CS city, so wanted to keep as much details as possible to still let the light dance on it and have a perfect circle shape too. Could be lowered around 500-600 faces for small asset)
- Animated (for what it mean in CS)
- Made in 3ds Max
- 55 hours of work

Sorry if my comment sounded a bit too direct, no offense from my end either! I share roughly that opinion with all the creators I know, which of course doesn't mean it is the Absolute Truth… But I do favour constructive criticism over downvotes which really only seem to be from people wanting to push their content up by pulling other people down, or who punish people who answered negatively to their asset request and similar situations...

Hi, Lost Gecko! Thanks for the feedback. I've said probably many, not most/all of them. Anyway, I changed the text so now it reflects only my own point of view. No offense. :)
