Tatsumi Fujinami

Era - 1980s/1990s - NJPW

Few wrestlers have achieved the degree of technical excellence and innovation that the Dragon, Tatsumi Fujinami has in his career. Brought up in the JWA as a protege of Antonio Inoki in the early '70s, Fujinami was one of the original members of New Japan Pro Wrestling. He traveled the world to pick up valuable experience and returned to New Japan as the WWWF Junior Heavyweight title holder, dropping it to move up to the Heavyweight division.

Fujinami would dominate in the 80s and 90s, winning multiple IWGP Heavyweight titles, the G1 Climax touranment, the NWA Heavyweight title from Ric Flair and passing his style along to Osamu Nishimura.
