After the fall of WCW, Booker T signed on with the then-WWF, joining the WCW Invasion. Still immensely popular, Booker feuded with Stone Cold Steve Austin and formed a tag team with Goldust that produced many amusing promos and interactions.

Booker's quest for the title culminated in a shot at Triple H's belt at Wrestlemania 19, in a controvercial feud that included vaguely racist comments from the champion and a crushing defeat at Wrestlemania.

Despite the disappointment in the feud, Booker would go on to win multiple tag titles, the United States title, a rebooted King of the Ring touranment that resulted in "King Booker," and a long overdue World title run from defeating Rey Mysterio at 2006's Great American Bash. One of WWE's top stars for close to a decade, Booker could get the crowd's support in an instant, move around the ring with effortless ease, take to the top ropes and mix it up in a brawl.
