Although full on supercomputers are provided and traded to us for use in larger capital ships. small scale practical AI is very underdeveloped. Due to new research breakthroughs, a simple mechanised drone has been invented by a Mr. francis garton. The drone is a first for the empire and because of it's ridiculously low price, is currently under mass production as an anti-pirate and patrol vehicle.
