Dibarusche

A race of biosynthetic eldritch horror hunters, the Dibarusche (Dee-bah-ROO-shee) are steeled against insanity and other cosmic mind-graters. This preparation for combat leaves them very little ability to express emotion. They're not machines, however, and they do have lives when not deployed. Their philosophy is one of efficiency and science. They believe that anything can be explained with science, and anything not readily explicable is just science they don't yet understand. It is encouraged among them to try to build the best ship, in terms of efficiency and swiftness.

The Dibarusche are assembled in replication labs by assembling them on a bioframe. They do not have reproductive organs for this purpose. They do have gender characteristics barring reproductive systems for the reason that most species are comfortable with the binary concept, and they need as much help as they can get in their mission. They know they are an artificial race, and are thus vastly atheistic. Their aesthetic is an angular white and gold design, with many of their holograms being cyan-colored. Their weapons fire hard light flechettes which tear through their targets and then dissipate.

The Dibarusche's weapons and armor use a modular elemental core system that may grant bonuses at the expense of other resistances.


This race is still largely unfinished. I will be adding more when I decide I'm able to. By downloading and using this mod, you forfeit your right to complain about it "not being done yet". You want it to be done quicker? Pitch in. I'll need help with the coding for the core system anyway, probably.
To do still:
1. Actually finish the furniture. Going to make the flag not a cloth one.
2. Figure out how I'm actually going to implement this core system augment thing. I want this race to play differently than the usual ones. Keep things interesting.
3. Add specialized dyes for the crests.
4. Add special mech stuff.
6. Learn how to count.

Q. Why are you leaving the ship as-is?
A. The Dibarusche are a race of innovators. You are intended to play this race with a BYOS expansion of some kind. I'm just not rolling that in, because that's not my mod.

Q. Why can't I see this race on the character creator?
A. Nobody say ANYTHING unless this guy just got the game yesterday.

Q. Is this a pokeymon?
A. No. The Dibarusche may slightly resemble a Pokemon, but the only Pokemon I think you could be referring to walks on four legs. These guys walk on two. They also talk, and the Pokemon I think you may be confusing this race with does not.

Q. Why release it now? Why not wait until it's done?
A. I'm having some new people join my private server soon. My server was alpha testing this mod. I'm releasing it now so everyone knows I made it. I did have some help from PvtSkittles with his template. Go send him some virtual pies, I guess. Real pies probably wouldn't make the trip.

A. No.

Q. Can I draw rather questionable pictures of this race? Kicking bunnies, stampeding people, stuff like that? Lenny?
A. Everybody says not to draw that of their stuff. I think I'll say go absolutely bonkers and see what "they" do then.

A. Mix them together. Frack the police. I live dangerously. Not sure what that has to do with this, though.
