Description
NOTE: THIS ADDON WILL MOST LIKELY BE REWRITTEN AT SOME POINT AS I HAVE LOST THE SOURCE CODE TO THE PROJECT, THIS ADDON WILL NO LONGER BE UPDATED UNTIL I REWRITE IT OR PERHAPS I FIND THE SOURCE CODE. EITHER WAY THE ADDON WILL BE REUPLOADED, A LINK WILL BE POSTED HERE WHEN ITS DONE.

Have you ever wanted to know what is inside the wooden crates from Half-life 2?

Well now you can!


This was just a quick little experiment I did just to see if I could do it. (It was made from start to finish in a single day)

The Mystery Box is found in the "Fun + Games" Tab in the "Entities" tab

Once you've spawned the Mystery Box, press your 'USE' key while aiming on it (default 'E') to open it.

The Mystery Box can spawn pretty much every spawnable entity in the game (That are visible AND don't give script errors when spawned).

The Mystery Box will spawn one of the following:

Small Revolver Ammo
Large Revolver Ammp
Small Combine Rifle Ammo
Alt-Fire Combine Rifle Ammo
Large Combine Rifle Ammo
Crossbow Ammo
Small Pistol Ammo
Large Pistol Ammo
Small SMG Ammo
Alt-Fire SMG Ammo
Large SMG Ammo
HEV Suit Battery
Shotgun Ammo
Dynamic Resupply (This entity is spawned when a supply crate is destroyed)
Large Health Pack
Small Health Pack
RPG Ammo
Combine Mine
Helicopter Grenade
Alyx
Antlion
Antlion Guard
Barney
Breen
Citizen
Combine Clawscanner
Combine Soldier
Combine Dropship
Combine Gunship
Crow
City Scanner
Dog

All NPCs that are spawned have a chance of getting a random weapon that is compatible it.

I tried running it through gmad to try and add weapons I downloaded or made but the entity didn't show up afterwards. ?

is it customiseable? If not, I would like to see this entity with a notepad document in it with all the weapons. That way players can add sweps like the Bubble Gun to the npc's and add gbombs 5 things too.

you should make a box that has all you need for warfare. it could have like 2 teams of random things like dinosaurs.:cozycsgoctwhite:

I've answered part of this question before. Making it spawn NPC's/Weapons/Entities that are downloaded is definitely possible (Several addons I've seen have done things like it), but I have absolutley no clue how they do it, as for color and material, that's also definitely possible, again, I just don't know how.

itd be coo if you made it also spawn modded npcs, weapons, entitys also :D and maybe with 50/50 chance for it to have a random color or material so 50% of the tiem you get a random material or color or both but normal ones come also.
