Description
Era - 1990s / 2010s - Boxing - Lightweight

One of the most dynamic boxers of the late 90s and early 2000s, Shane Mosley was lightning fast and hit hard enough to become champion in three weight divsions, facing a who's who list of the best of his time. Given the prestigious nickname of "Sugar," one belonging to all time greats Ray Robinson and Ray Leonard, Mosely had high standards set for his career, but also had a set of accomplishments to go along with them.

A dominant champion at Lightweight, Mosley rocketed into the mainstream eye in 2000 with a split decision win over Oscar De La Hoya for the Welterweight title of the world, which he would later lose to Vernon Forrest. He would also win at Light Middleweight, beating De La Hoya once again, and would spend the next decade jumping up and down through divsions, facing the notorious Antonio Margarito, losing to both Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr, and fighting Saul "Canelo" Alvarez in 2012.
