Description
This mod simply changes the variable for warpaint perish rate from 1 to 0. This turns off warpaint decay. Hence permapaint; permanent warpaint.

That's all it does. Simple and effective.

Yeah, I tried ToT, but couldn't make it work at all - on single-player though, which it officially don't support, so I was just thinking it won't work for me as its intended for server play, or I made some noob mistake. I'll keep my paws off of that one for now. I mean, I been playing/modding CE only since march, got lots to learn still. If I find a setup-tutorial for ToT that also deals with SP, I may give it another go.

Maybe I do give the devkit a go though, there's tons of small stuff I'd really love to fiddle with, like potion weights and such - only need to shovel free some memory on my drive and kick myself to stop playing for a few days to learn that thing, no small ask of an old semi-Luddite, hihi.

Thanks for the encouragement though, cheers & have a nice evening^^.

@iriemk Also it seems that ToT! Custom borrowed from or picked up from or some such from where RA Aesthetics ended. It requires some first time set up to have it work, but it is more lightweight than QOL and as RA Aesthetics, just hangs out in the background for the most part.

@iriemk Did some checking. I'm a liar. The mod I was thinking of was RA Aethetics. (Which is now gone. ) The warpaints exisit-ish, but the textures are separted by body part and not spawnable as such. On reviewing: Fighters -> WP Vitality, Dancers -> WP Determination w/o face or hand paint. The white versions of these and modular versions (no face paint) cannot be spawned in game.

You would need to create a custom warpaint item as a mod to get the warpaints you want in this case. I havent created a warpaint in the dev kit, but it seems simple enough. Might be something to try your hand at.

Hmmm...just remembered something. I was playing around with IQOL last week and messed around with skin tones, not having realized IQOL actually makes edits to the body file. When I kicked it out again, all my night-black amazons & my MC were pale white-skinned and had lost their paints.

So the paints must exist as some seperate entity, sort of like the vanilla warpaints. Question is:
Are they actual usable items or just some line of code a dev can slap on any character template to give it that "Amazon"-look when placing such a character with the devkit?

Aaargh, I really hate that CE's console is so limited, compared the huge command list from the beth games like Fallout. Bet I'd find a way to steal it, if CE had those kinda options to mess with the game.

Now that's a detailed reply^^! And I don't think it's just re-colored vanilla warpaints the amazons got. At least the fighters have something unique, it has these "paint-on thigh warmers" for lack of a better description. Archers & performers also got something unique, I think.

What I was wondering is if these exist in the game files as warpaint scrolls that -theoretically- could be spawned via admin tab (if one knows the name) and then applied to player char. Or if amazons/manhunters are designed with that paint as part of their skin texture from the bat.

And I'm honestly not a big fan of huge package mods like Fashionist, that add tons of stuff I don't want/need. I only played CE for about 2 months now, but had my share of troubles with such huge overhauls when modding FO4 whiles back. So I've given those mods a wide berth. Do you know if Fashionist changes bodies, like IQOL does, or is it just more options?
Ozel  [author] 19 May @ 8:14pm
@Iriemek Hmmm... I am not super familiar with the current NPCs. I logged in and spawned some amazons and all the ones I spawned in are wearing the agility warpaint but in white. The separate colors of warpaint you see are not available in the base game. For some reason I think all surge npcs have white warpaints. That said, when I actively play I often use Fashionist. If you use Fashionist you may not need to use this mod, but they do not conflict. Fashionist is a heavy mod (meaning it has a LOT going on) but it does allow for some very nuanced editing of warpaints and their colors which is nice.

I hope this helps. If I am wrong on what warpaint you are looking for, let me know what NPC has it and I can see what I can muster from my brain. :meadowrabbit: Otherwise, I suggest Fashionist for full warpaint editing. (it is also just a really great mod for getting thralls looking good... or it least it always was when I actively played... :meadowfox:)

@Ozel: You seem like the guy to ask this question, given you made this work:

Is there any way to get at the special warpaints certain NPCs -like purge Amazons- are using? Admin, or console commands or whatever, I don't care. I'd really love those paints for my "cannibal princess" MC, but haven't found any pertinent info anywhere on how to obtain or cheat them in for myself.

Mod is particularly useful during the Jhebbal Sag hunt since the only thing you can wear in those boss fights is the war paints for both you and your thralls.

"Ok wow. I had no idea you could apply warpaint to a thrall. Well this mod would be a necessity then. I can barely keep up with my own. lol" - That is the original reason I made the mod. :meadowrabbit:

"Just tested all day long and War Paint I applied to a thrall never vanished. So if there was an issue before it's been fixed."
