During the 1950s, after the end of the civil war in Greece, in the Domain of Altis, former colony of the British Empire and member of the Commonwealth, lives a moment of conflict, as the communist insurgency has appeared in the mountains and woodlands of the island, and the Royal Ground Forces of Altis (RGFA) have been deployed to counterattack and defeat the partisans, during the hardest decades of the Cold War...

The year is 1956. The RGFA's forces have taken the lead since the beginning of the war, but the partisans still have some strongholds in the mountainous region to the north of the town of Kavala. Their most important strongholds are in the abandoned village of Oreokastro and the castle of Thronos, an arab-built fortification of the early Middle Ages.

The 1st Altian Infantry Brigade has reached to the nearings of Oreokastro, with the objective of finally defeating the communists and taking back the village and the castle, in partisans' hands. Take the role of the leader of an 8-men team in a coordinated assault to the enemy positions by four other groups of the Royal Ground Forces of Altis.


Based on the hardest moments of the Cold War during the 1950s, in the decades that marked the decolonization or independence of numerous territories of the French and British colonial empires, and the emergence of guerrilla warfare throughout the world, driven both for the western countries as for the Eastern Bloc.
