Description
DeadWorld is a massive cooperative expansion that includes multiple campaigns, social spaces, and new game types to update Valve Software's smash hit franchise.

The goal is to wrap a "living world" around L4D2. Set nine years after the events of Left 4 Dead 2, the game picks up as our survivors are now living in an established world where human strongholds stand their ground in a wasteland filled with monsters. From these strongholds, players travel out into the ruined world on a variety of missions and adventures.

How It Works:

Instead of launching individual campaigns through the Left 4 Dead 2 menu, players launch the DeadWorld mod and start in a social space where they can access any DeadWorld campaign. After a selected campaign is finished, players return to the social space where they can choose another campaign--or even replay the same one. They can resupply, go out on more missions, explore new spaces, and in the future they will be able to play new "Horde-Mode" game types that expand on the Survival game mode, all without ever leaving the game world.

TRAVELLING TO OTHER DESTINATIONS:

There are gateways in the social spaces with "Missions Available" signs near them. If all four players walk into an open alcove, the level will end and you will travel to a new location.

NOTE: You cannot play as L4D1 survivors as they are NPC's in the Wharf, and your character will get stuck. Sorry, no way to fix this. You have to play as L4D2 survivors.

VERSION 2 - March 01, 2019

The project currently includes:

2 Complete Co-op Campaigns
First 2 maps of "Container Town" Campaign
First map of "Natural Selection" Campaign
2 Social Space hub maps (Wharf and Bridge)

There are a total of 16 maps are in the project with more nearing release and many more planned.

While function and gameplay should be 100% finished, many of the maps have not been detailed yet. Final detailing is underway, but my primary focus right now is making sure the mechanics are 100% sorted out and creating more alpha campaigns so players have as much content as possible.

Long story short. I tested Deadenator out of curiosity and I was really won over by your original idea but especially by your level design and artistic direction as well as your mastery of the source engine (never a freeze or framerrate droping). So I continued my discovery of your content on Deadworld (the latest one) and its "Container City" campaign, I just came out and once again I find that you are probably one of the most underrated modders.

I finished all the "campaigns" within' this map. Had a blast! The Cargo Container City was a fun original idea in of itself. Took about 5 hours to play through all the "campaigns". Do with that what you will.

REMINDS me of the Stanley Parable,
where the gameplay keeps repeating differently according to your choices.
Different parts keep opening up and shutting down revealing more areas,
and restricting others. The boards load up remembering what was happening before it.
That is why it sometimes gets stuck, but the warp fix at the console: warp_all_survivors_here
Makes it playable. Hell, as soon as i type "warp" the option opens up for me as the first choice.

IF GAME OPENS A BOARD IN THE BLACK, AND ACTS STUCK....
(works in SINGLE PLAYER MODE)
JUST OPEN THE CONSOLE AND ENTER: warp_all_survivors_here
Apparently the players all load up elsewhere BY MISTAKE.
You are in the saferoom.
They are not.
The board will resume and pick up with all players in the saferoom
When you warp them to you. The game will continue on.
IT DOESN'T MATTER FOR ME IF THE PLAYER IS L4D1.
L4D2 SURVIVORS CAUSE ME TO GET STUCK TOO....
BUT THIS FIX FIXES EVERYTHING!!
I actually thought it was crashing... it wasn't. Just gets stalled in loading boards.
I LOVE THIS CAMPAIGN. UNUSUAL, HOW THE ARROWS KEEP ADJUSTING
TO THE CORRECT DIRECTION EVEN AS IT OVERLAPS ITSELF??
