The patriarch of the Von Erich family, Fritz Von Erich initially billed himself as a fierce German, and the master of the Iron Claw Hold, a merciless Prussian teaming with his "brother" Waldo. Von Erich won multiple tag titles around the states, and even became a notable competitor in Japan, but truly established his legacy in Texas. Founding World Class Championship Wrestling, Von Erich shifted his career towards promotion, bringing his sons along to become stars, and while the World Class story would end in tragedy, the organization was well ahead of its time with top notch production and heated feuds.
