Description
This is a simple server script that displays an icon above players whose ping or packet loss is too high. Feel free to use it for your server.

Server CVars:
  • badping_sv_ping_threshold (Default: 150) Players with a ping at least this high will show the icon.
  • badping_sv_packet_threshold (Default: 1) Players with a packet loss at least this high will show the icon.

Client CVars:
  • badping_cl_icon_distance (Default: 1024) Maximum distance away from the camera to render the icon.
  • badping_cl_icon_bounce (Default: 1) Enables the icon bouncing up and down slightly (0 disables, 1 enables)

packet loss is basically poor connection. I may be wrong...

@NickSaysHenlo try badping_cl_icon_distance 0 (havent actually tested that but it probably disables it)

This really should be on the front page. This will definitely help a lot of people with connection problems. Even though I'm not using it this is a good addition to servers. :physgun:

Good job Green! Really going to be a useful addon for many servers to come. It will also help people see the person is having problems instead of just yelling at them for not moving/doing nothing.
