Wooden Coasters Have Been around for over 100 years and have quite the history, coasters were initialy very experimental, and typicaly did not have intense layouts, airtime was absent and turns where slow, if they existed at all.

All of that changed in 1919, when John Miller patented the Up-Stop wheel. Now trains had wheels above, and below the track, allowing coasters to have more exciting layouts with airtime hills, giving riders the sensation of flying out of their seats! However, As great as the 20's were for wooden coasters, the great depression was just as bad, leading to the demolition of many wooden coasters after only a few years of popularity.

It wasn't until the 70's that coasters came back in populartiy, but wooden coasters soon went out of style again. Arrow unveiled the corkscrew, changing the industry with its steel tubular track, allowing for fast banking turns, steep drops, and even inversions. The wooden coaster model just couldn't compete.

That was until computer aided design in the 90's helped coaster manufacturers like Custom coasters international, Great Coasters International and Rocky mountain construction build wooden coasters with all the features of their steel counterparts, with twisting layouts and drops, banking turns, and yes, even inversions.

This classically styled coaster showcases the history of wooden coasters, featuring a vintage "Out and Back" layout, a stretch of classic airtime hills, and a modern banking turn-around.

The blueprint also contains a couple of flat rides, and several shops and facilities.
