i think it took like 10 minutes. Mods are saved in:
...\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2 Definitive Edition\Mods
and
steamapps\workshop\<folderwithnumbers>\1447811074 (that number is the mod ID in the URL for this page if you right click from steam workshop and open in a new window)
hope this helps :)
If anyone knows if its possible to update a mod without the original files, let me know. To my knowledge it is impossible.
I do plan on making a similar mod for Larian's upcoming Baldur's Gate.
