Arkgnein State: Guardian Frigate

The lightest full-feature warship in the Arkgnein navy, the Guardian's role is one of a long-range fast attack craft, posessing one of the highest thrust-mass ratios in the fleet.

It should be noted that its role refers to its operational range, as the muzzle velocities of its light lance are notably below standard models, yielding reduced effective ranges in exchange for a much ligher power requirement. To make up for this, skilled Guardian crews drill tirelessly on complex flight maneuvers that take advantage of the ship's agility to evade fire from longer range guns long enough to get into range themselves.

It also carries a modest stock of micromissiles, which afford it a limited ability to engage larger warships from the saftey of a few small orbital transfers worth of distance.
