Description
I was asked to do smoother textures, less clustered, looking more plain.
When I tried doing so I got no good looking results so I changed almost all the textures.

For the updated content changes, take a look at the change notes. :)

If you want to use another mods water that also adds another beach terrain, check out my beach & rock mods. That way you can keep a better fitting beach together with that water!

And here it is - my 'smooth' texture pack.

Beside mostly new terrains it also contains my moving water v2 and the following terrains based on other textures:

Farms: based on MIke's Real Farms V2 / based on Shayne's ST farm texture
Desert: based on KalaAveR's Texture Pack V2
Beach: based on Einherjer's TEXTURE SELECTION AND IMPROVEMENTS

Leaves/Snow/Ice are based on my classic texture packs V1 + V2

All other textures (dirt and grass variations) are completely new.

Includes the new African Kingdoms terrains.

For the sand - I didn't further use this one for its structure makes it look weird on some sides of elevations.

Things like trees, mountains, rocks, mines,... are all available seperately too.
Just go to my mods page and take a look at the collections, they are all thematically grouped for easier access. :)

Mixing terrains is a bit more difficult if there are no seperate mods for them (my water mostly is, and if one is missing - just tell me.
(I always wanted to update my mod manager to the new file structure so you can do this in a nautomated way, but I didn't find the time to do so for now.)
You need to subscribe to all mods you want to use parts of. Then disable them in the ingame mod manager.
Create a new folder named like 'MyCustomMod' in AoE\mods, and open the mods you want to use parts of from the ingame mod manager by clicking the button that lets you open them with windows explorer.
Now just copy everything you want to mix -(including the necessary folder structure!) to your own custom mod. Enable it in the ingame mod manager and have fun. :)

This is my favorite texture pack because of the water texture, and the wavy desert sand texture... Sigh, if only I could have those 2 things along with your more recently remodeled trees, and stuff... ;) ;)

Is there anywhere I can manually download your texture packs so I can mix and match the textures I like the most?

Glad to hear I inspired someone!

For the textures - they are n attempt to fulfill requests to do smoother textures and beside this make it easier to identify your (green) units from the landscape.
So they were created from a different point of view than the others.

The desert is based on the one that can be found in KalaAveR's great texture pack:

Gorgeous as always. I like your classic textures more, but these deserts look amazing. I'm inspired to create a desert-themed map now!
