SAVTec T-442 Little T.A.R.T

As their name suggests, SAVTec's "Little T.A.R.T's" are small Transport And Reconnaissance Trucks designed for use on planets with atmosphere. They have 4 wheels, are 4-wheel drive and carry 2 Medium Cargo Containers, hence their designation.

T.A.R.T's are nothing new - they've been around (the workshop) plenty - you've probably seen them in the past under a different name (They used to be called the the "5830 Light Utility Vehicle")
While they look similar to many other small rovers / trucks, they were in fact around LONG before most of the competition - and were probably the thing that inspired a lot of it. On their first outing, my T.A.R.T's got oggled & picked up by nearly 13,000 people! I was shocked! Anyway, I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who viewed, subscribed & followed me the last time I published this build, as well as everyone who does so now. You're all ace!

T.A.R.T's are cheap & easy (to build & drive) and while they do require *some* maintenance (charging the battery from time to time), they'll do pretty much anything you want. You can use T.A.R.T's in all kinds of compromising places & positions and not worry about getting stuck in them.

Anyone can (and will) use a T.A.R.T when one makes itself available. They're great for beginners & long-time players alike and can be used over & over again, even after you upgrade to something more substantial later - they wont mind playing second fiddle to superior "equipment"

The new & improved T.A.R.T has a bunch of other cool features that you'll just love to look at & twiddle with...

T.A.R.T's have the smoothest "legs" (pistons) in the business... 4 of them to be precise. If your T.A.R.T breaks down or throws a wheel you can just lift her up on her legs for easy access to her undercarriage.
If your T.A.R.T goes over on her side, just cut her legs off with an angle grinder & stick them back on in a different place, so when they extend she'll flip back up the right way.

Generally speaking, T.A.R.T's prefer to take it from behind (power & cargo that is) through their conveniently placed "connector", which will comfortably "mate" up with your large connector, which you should place at ground level.

T.A.R.T's also like to be underneath (the sun) and will happily spend all day "recharging their batteries" under the nearest convenient infra-red light source.
Be warned however that interrupting a T.A.R.T during it's recharging cycle isn't the way to get it to do some damned work around the place. Give your T.A.R.T's the time they need to recharge and they'll "reward you" for hours!
As a bonus feature, the charging state of all my T.A.R.T's is plain to see - so you'll never need to ask them if they're ready to go out yet!

T.A.R.T's work best when you fill them with "ore", since their inner plumbing is too narrow to fit certain objects through. Inserting large objects such as Large Steel Tubes into a T.A.R.T will mean you have to remove them manually, as otherwise they'll get stuck in there!

My T.A.R.T's have great "lungs"... they suck in air from the atmosphere and blow it straight up your suit, ensuring you'll never suffocate while you're inside them and will always emerge feeling stronger & more powerful than you really are!
On planets with no atmosphere, a T.A.R.T's "lungs" should be augmented with Oxygen Tanks, for which you will require Silicon. Note that such augmentation will require a degree of "cosmetic surgery" to keep your T.A.R.T looking good.

Notice how the T.A.R.T's "broadsides" (Cargo container ports) are nice & large and easy to access. We advise not covering them up... ever!

Behind every good T.A.R.T's is a fine A.S.S!
That's right! A.S.S, the Awesome Self-righting System, for when your T.A.R.T is listing to port

Everyone's seen at least one T.A.R.T roll over & show her belly.
Now no-one would think worse of you if you just walked away & left her there like it... but you picked her up for a reason, so you'd be forgiven if you wanted to keep her for a while & save her from the odd disaster. Well fear not. Now you can!

If your truck rolls & ends up on its side, just extend your A.S.S out of the appropriate side of the vehicle and it'll tip itself back onto its wheels! Awesome or what!

All the controls for your A.S.S are on hotbar #2.
Keys #5 & #6 extend / retract the left & right self-righting "cheeks" respectively
Additionally, the lifting jacks can now be operated either all at once or in pairs (left pair & right pair) for added safety & control when righting the truck. Key #1 operates all at once, #2 for the left pair, #3 for the right pair.
