Description
Over to the beautiful Peak District of Derbyshire in the Pennines, lies the beautiful Market Town of Caldenfirth, in the High Peak of Derbyshire. This small town is one of the jewls in the crown of the High Peak and the Peak District. The town is of 3200 people and nearby towns include Buxton, Bakewell, Chapel en le Frith, Matlock, Glossop and a bit further afield, Chesterfield and Ashbourne.

Some features of this Peak District town:

St Stephen's Parish Church - The medieval Parish Church of Caldenfirth, keeping watch over the town for over 900 years in many different forms, in which the current building dates mostly from the 14th-15th century. Inside the church includes a lot of box pews, a pipe organ in it's original case which can be played, and in the tower is a ring of 8 bells that can be rung out across the town.
St Paul's Roman Catholic Church - Similar to what I did in Hoytheroyd, this is based on the Hospital Chapel in Linton, in which St Paul's dates from 1756 before being gifted to the Catholics in 1976 as their own place of worship in Caldenfirth. Still keeping a lot of it's Georgian Charm, this serves the faithful catholics of the town.
The Old Market Hall - Standing in the Market Place is the old Market Hall, this old building is where the markets were held indoors and traders would come and sell and gain commerce, while now it is sometimes used for markets but it is often more used for other things.
Town Hall - The town hall stands above the town in great splendour watching over the town, it can be used for anything from concerts to charity events.
Pub - This is the Pub that can be lived in, it has an upstairs that forms a small maisonette above the busy pub where meals are served and drinks are drunken.
Library - Books! Books! Books! Still serving all the bookworms of the town!
The Toilet block - Listen out for the Rules For the Toilet!!!
Shops and Cafe - Enjoy the shops of the town, especially with tourists around where you can buy anything you need to have a good day, or enjoy the cafe after a long day of walking in the nearby peaks.
Dry Stone Walls - Just like the Derbyshire Peak District, this map would not be complete without some Dry Stone Walls.
Buses that go to places like Buxton, Glossop, Manchester, Bakewell, Matlock, Sheffield and Chesterfield to name a few.
