TT Helicopter GPS Autopilot AI MK2 Full Avionics Module

Description
Say hello to the TT Helicopter GPS Autopilot AI MK2 Module, so smart it might* say hello back.

This unit does everything. Literally connect it to a seat, the engines and rotors, altimeter, vertical distance sensor and keypads and buttons as required. This Autopilot / Autonomous module has been built to be as easy as possible to integrate, not neccesarily as small as possible. Therefore each connector is on the outside of the module, and each connector has a nearby marking stating what it is for.

What this autopilot will do is fly to one of two specified waypoints, at the specified cruise altitude (at either above sea level or ground level, the autopilot will work that out itself) and then land at that waypoint.

Inputs:

"X" "Y", "A" - X & Y co-ordinates for waypoint A (2x number)
"X" "Y", "B" - X & Y co-ordinates for waypoint B (2x number)
"AB" - Select A/B input (1x on/off)
"ALT" - (on waypoint side) Cruise Altitude (1x number)
"ALT" - (on controls side) Altimeter (1x number)
"V.DIST" - Vertical Distance (1x number - connect to a distance sensor under your helicopter)
"PI, RO, YA, TH", "IN" - Seat inputs (4x number - Pitch, Roll, Yaw, Throttle)
"EN" - autopilot on (1x on/off)
"HV" - autohover (1x on/off)

Outputs:
"PI, RO, YA, TH", "OUT" - control outputs, connect directly to rotors & engines.

Size:
10 long, 5 wide, 3 tall.

instructions:
click "SELECTION GRID" on the top menu.
click "LOAD CONTENT" on the left side menu.
load this file.
it will now be onscreen, drag using the arrows around the object into the position you want to place it.
press "PASTE"
now click "SECTION GRID" again or another option around it to get out of this mode.
connect all the relevant connections. you MUST connect a distance sensor facing downward for this specific autopilot design, as it helps the autopilot avoid obstacles and slows landing descent.
connect the A output of keypads to the X inputs of A or B waypoint inputs. connect the B output of keypads to the Y inputs of A or B waypoint inputs.

hopefully, you should now have a working autopilot fitted to your helicopter with relative ease!

Any features you would like to see on MK3 autopilot let me know. I had a few ideas for extra features for this autopilot and tested them, including flying backwards, using roll to improve landing, etc, but found this combination was probably the best at the time.

Let me know if you build any vehicles with this autopilot, and I'll add it to this list below!

*This autopilot isn't quite smart enough to talk back to the operator, yet.

can this module stabilize your vehicle in mid flights or under the water???

i woulld bet money that TT is working on a bunch of different MicroControllers and this one is planed to be upgrades to a Version MK3, i also bet if u send him $5 he would think about doing it sooner than later.... Hint Hint :steamsalty::2016watermelon:

Hey, Im trying to convert this into a microcontroller but when I engage autopilot, the helicopter either flies the wrong direction or flies crooked and goes right past the waypoint. any chance you could help me? or just make a microcontroller version yourself?

lmao, now we can make things liek this so much smaller

This is fantastic. Works perfectly. Thank you so much. I had no trouble building a scratch helicopter around it. Wobbles a bit just before landing, but I'm sure that can be adjusted. Would love a fixed altitude control with the auto-hover rather than just with autopilot. But for the size, this is enough. There are smaller autopilot modules, but not with this much functionality. Well done.

can i use it for drones(1autopilot steers diffrent drones) and submariens can u make it smaller?
only helicopter or does it also work for planes
