1.0-1.5
In vanilla RimWorld, human-like pawns that are not part of your colony have a chance to instantly die when downed. Animals have a 50% chance to die when downed.

This chance changes depending on the storyteller, current colony population, and difficulty.

This mod gives you options to tailor the death-on-down chance to your preference for both pawns and animals.

This mod can be safely added to, or removed from, a saved game.

From RimWorld v1.3 and later, the pawn "death on down" chance can be adjusted using storyteller settings; you only really need this mod if you want to adjust animal settings.

I do like being able to alter the settings for death during a playthrough instead of only being able to make that choice once in the beginning. Sometimes I choose poorly.

Actually you can just change this in the storyteller settings in the base game apparently
