Herr Mannelig Pt-IV (Longe Range SSTO)

Description
At first, sorry for my bad english!

Herr Mannelig is a longe Range SSTO wich is easy to start and land, it have a small Cargobay with all experminents and 2 Experiment Storage Units,
there is also a Science Lab on board.
After a good Start in a 110km Orbit you have ~4500ms DeltaV, wich allows a transfer to the Kerbin Moons (Mun, Minmus), Eve, Duna (Ike with landing) and transfer back to Kerbin without refueling.

Some Details:

Crew: max. 8
Lenght: 22,7m
Width: 17,7m
Weight (all): 94,7t
DeltaV (110km Orbit): 4500- 4600m/s

Actiongroups:

2- toggle R.A.P.I.E.R
4- toggle Nervs
5- toggle Solarpanels
6- toggle Antenna
7- run Experiments (Mystery Goo Observation, Materials Study, Temperature Scan, Atmospheric Pressure Scan,
Seismic Scan, Gravity Scan and Atmosphere Analysis)
9- activate drogue

Start Description:
Start R.A.P.I.E.R.s (Actiongroup 2) and throttle up to 100%, after Take of hold Nose against 12-13°.
Toggle Nervs (Actiongroup 4) at 14000m Sealevel.
Hold your Nose against 13° till your R.A.P.I.E.R.s run out of Intake Air, they switch automatically in Closed Cycle.
Pull your Nose to 25° while your Engines on Closed Cycle and hold it till your Oxydizer is full exhausted.
Deactivate your R.A.P.I.E.R.s (Actiongroup 2) and hold you Nose Prograde till your AP has reached 110km and finish your Orbit.

Warning! Its also possible but very hard to land on Duna, and you cannot transfer back to Kerbin without refuel.

And again sorry for my "great" english skills.

Feel free to leave a comment and rate.

Tried and tested! Certainly needs a little more babysitting than some others, but plenty of fuel to get into orbit and to Minmus and return. Great!

If you fill some tanks with oxidizer it does reach LKO. Tried and tested, got to Minmus and back! It does have an error on missing some mod solar panels tho, has a weird effect when burning up above and below craft as well. But great craft!

R.A.P.I.E.R.s don't have any oxidizer first of all and second the Nervs don't have enough specific impulse to pull the plane out of kerbin's gravity let alone to get past 70k i tried to get to orbit more than 10 times and all have failed. what i would suggest is that you fully fill the oxidizer tanks and replace 2 of the 6 R.A.P.I.E.R.s with Whiplashes to get higher before running dry on air with better acceleration. the rapiers are dead weight for even if you do get into space.

Doesn't have enough oxidizer to get to orbit

Hello, i tried taking off today and following your takeoff instructions everything was working good until i was getting close to 55k km - 60k km, when my rapiers should change to closed cyrcle, they go flame-out and i cannot activate them any more neither on air mode or closed mode, and at that altittude with only the nervs is not enough (for me) to get out of orbit, is this something im doing wrong or its some weird things happening?

analisis? KOWALSKI!!!

I managed it this time. That's one scary window of efficiency-- I thought the NERVs wouldn't push hard enough.

I tested it today: (Version 1.5) : like you i was unable to reach 50 km altitude,
(Version 1.51) : everything was normal.

I think there was a bug in 1.5 who misjudged the pressure on the vehicle, i hope that it works with you now :)

@Delenor No problem, I hope it was merely human error on my part.
