Era - 1950s/1980s - WWA/AWA/NWA

One of the toughest, roughest blue collar brawlers ever, ♥♥♥♥ the Bruiser Afflis had a long, storied career throughout the Midwestern United States, slugging it out with anyone who wanted to make it big in the industry and becoming a folk hero in the process. With a background that included three seasons with the Green Bay Packers in the NFL, and an endless record of barroom brawls, the Bruiser brought a hard hitting legitimacy to the ring. He would help found the WWA in Indianapolis and was a legend in the St. Louis scene.

While his trophy shelf contained a sizable amount of singles gold, the Bruiser may have been even more notorious as a tag wrestler, having gotten himself permanantly banned from competing in New York for a wild brawl alongside Dr. Jerry Graham against Antonino Rocca and Edouard Carpentier. Even more famous was his team with the great Crusher Lisowski. The Crusher and the Bruiser both meshed like the pair of cousins they occasionally claimed to be and would win an endless series of titles, including five runs with the AWA tag belts.
