After the success of Rutile proved the new design philosophy is viable,
T.N.N.S.F. (Tir Na Nog Science Foundation) launched a project to build an entire new series of ships, replacing the old ships developed in the past, in hope of building better and more powerful exploration fleets.

With the experience of developing Rutile Militia Variant to serve as frigate in the new fleets, T.N.N.S.F. swiftly came up with a new single seat spacecraft design with the same core technologies.

This new spacecraft successfully achieves better performance and lower production cost than both Owl and Corvus.
To symbolize its possibility and coincidental resemblance of its appearance, the new universal fighter is given the name ─ Acorn

This is a new small ship design I made trying to retain the general feel of Rutile.
I ended up with two variants I couldn't decide which to choose, so I took them both.
They are mostly the same with minor piping and weight difference.
It is by far the most manuverable ship I've ever made, tested in default survival settings.
It has no ion thrusters, making it cheap and viable for early games and mass production.
With enough ice it's more than feasible to leave planet surface, cruise around for a while and get back without problem.
On planet with atmosphere, it's capable of flying with hydrogen thrusters turned off, so it's also very suitable as a craft to travel long distances on planet.

How the hell can someone design such ships? Acorn... Rutile... What the f***... You must have a Master in Design to get someting like that done... I would not dare to put my best looking ship next to one of yours. Absolutely great work! Thanks for sharing your ships with us!

Your Acorn, Rutile and Badhbh ship don't seem to work for me in survival mode, only in creative? I tested all their variants. The rest of your ships for perfectly fine. Can I do something about this myself?

Love the design!
