Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind: Valley Gunship

The Valley Gunship is one of many planes seen in Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. And like almost all other planes, it is several hundred years old, built with technology that had long since been lost to time. This gunship has two large cannons in the nose, which launches single use rocket propelled warheads, which have to be manually reloaded after landing. It's tailless design is not at all unusual for its world, but it does have what seems to be a crude form of thrust vectoring. This allows for high maneuverability at low speeds.
