About:

According to the changelog[forum.keenswh.com] for 1.187.2 the range offset was drastically reduced
"[UseResponse] Limited random range for projectiles, so they hit close to maximum range"

Since the camera's came out we've become accustom to sniping targets with gatling guns at a range of around 1000 meters, this random range offset on projectiles allowed us to shoot from a longer range than intended.

I've been having fun fighting drones in the game and currently don't want to, or have the time, to relearn how to fight or rebuild all my ships to accomidate how we've learned how to fight in Space Engineers over the last few years.

This mod simply changes the MaxTrajectory value for Large and Small Caliber bullet ammunition from 800 to 1000. This is not what was changed in version 1.187.2, I have no idea what was changed but I wanted a work around so I could enjoy playing with the new update.

...Is there some way to increase ALL firing ranges in-game, like with speeds at Midspace configurable speed? It's kinda pain to make local copy for mods, then delete them after update, make new copies and so on... No way to change it by scripts? Create some "on-load" coefficient, or this params are not local for world?

It used to be random between 80% and 120%, now it's between 80% and 100% so it never goes past MaxTrajectory. Those percentages are hardcoded though.
