Description

Designed to perform on planets, the Reclaimer Mk 1 marks the first entry in the atmospheric mining vessels series with it's uncommon, yet efficient vertical mining configuration that allows for a much larger payload to be retrieved and carried than the traditional front-mount miner setup usually can.

A compact yet heavy duty design, capable of Core Shaft Mining -- a somewhat similar technology to the Retriever's Deep Core Mining, permitting the Reclaimer to go down deep into the planet's surface in an uniform fashion, however, it is more challenging to do so on planets than it is in space, and so a more careful and smooth control is required, along the need to keep the vessel aligned with the horizon and stabilized while going down. If you are in a very deep hole, flying up and out can be made easier using the drills to expand the area around for a much better clearance (Select hotkey 1 and right click with the mouse)

The internal storage is vast, along with a high drill count for even more capacity and fast mining, allowing for hundreds of thousands of resources to be hauled at once, this of course makes the Reclaimer very heavy, and while the powerful up center lift can deal with the weight, make sure to fly with extra caution in this situation.

As with most AAS atmospheric models, the Reclaimer Mark 1 is equipped with a LSMD; a low-power ion drive that doesn't affect the atmospheric performance, and allows small manneuvers in space, inside carriers, or to propel the ship itself into a planet, as it's capable of a re-entry all the way from orbit, however, it cannot return to space on it's own.

- It is meant to be used with Realistic inventory size only, anything more than that and It cannont support all the massive weight when at full capacity within the planet's gravity influence.
- Use the right click with the manual drilling (hotkey 1) selected to expand the mining area.
- The landing gears are positioned on the back, lock the vessel to a wall, or carefully land on top of the drills if necessary.
- Avoid performing an agressive roll/pitch, specially when fully loaded, only the upward thrusters can withstand the massive weight.
- Sometimes when using the ion thrusters (LSMD), the speed gets stuck at "0", if that happens, just 'shake' the ship a little and it will start accelerating normally, this should only happen in space because the LSMD is a low power drive.

A significant upgrade was made here, more streamlined shapes, ejectors added, more power, a better drill displacement, better reverse thrusters and even more cargo space, this version differs a little from 1.0 in design to favor better functionality, but the overall design remains, some parts were reduced while others were improved in detail. Owners of 1.0 should definitely upgrade to 1.1.

Great ship, loving it but it seems like the LCD scripts still aren't working and I'm too dumb to figure out how to correct the problem. xD

LCD script was likely updated, its a simple fix, i'll update the model today. Else you can do it yourself if you know how to within the programmable block.

Thanks for the feedback, I see how i can update, however, about the reactor, the idea is that this miner could be transported post-space and nuclear reactors provide a huge boost, in contrast to batteries but since the removal of uranium. sorters in the other hard seems like a good idea right off the box, again, thanks and ill work on a update to reflect the game aspect as it is now.

Now that we don't have access to much uranium, I've ditched the large reactors for batteries.
