The Artemis Project

Description
This game is currently on Kickstarter, please support the official release.

You can find the rulebook for The Artemis Project here[grandgamersguild.com].

Europa, Jupiter's moon. Deep beneath the crust, the oceans are teeming with alien sea life. Shellfish, plants, corals, arthropods, even strange fish and larger sea creatures populate a wide-ranging interconnected web of hidden seas. Volcanism is rampant, warming the mineral-rich waters and creating excellent conditions for energy-harvesting.

It is still early in the Artemis project. A foothold on life here has been gained, but it will take tenacious effort from the competing colonies to reach the point where Europa is truly viable as a home.

The Artemis Project is a dice (dis)placement and engine building game that has you fighting the planet as well as the other players. Roll your dice and place them tactically to thwart the other colonists. Harvest energy and minerals. Bid for buildings. Work together to go on Expeditions to earn rewards. Train workers. Will your efforts be enough to survive?

Hello I don't understand how it is playable. The expedition cards should shown how many ressources are available for the turn. In this mod, there is nothing written on these cards about that. Why ? And how much ressources do you put then ?

Really enjoyed this game but just had one question if anyone could help out. The ocean expedition building that lets you send any colonists staffed on the card to expedition dice for 0 energy has 3 staff spots, 1 blank and 2 pioneer (brown). When you activate this building can you send ALL of the cubes for 0 energy even if they are not all pioneers? Or do I send them as if the shelter rules applied but without the energy cost (specifically the multiple pioneer ability and the 1 colonist of any other type) ? so if I staffed a marine in the first spot of the building and had 2 pioneers on the rest could I send the marine AND the pioneers for 0 energy? or when I activate the card would I send the 2 pioneers OR the marine? Thanks. Just seems like a powerfull card being able to add pips to your dice whilst taking others down for 0 energy.

This looks quite interesting. I'll have to remember to check the KS launch on the 12th.
In the meantime, would anyone like to play/learn this game together?

Those alien squid look a hell of a lot like the aliens from Europa Report :happyleon:

It seems that the next event card is revealed at the end of the "refresh the game board" step. However, the event card "Jelly Swarm" makes it seem like the event card should be revealed at the beginning of this step so that you know to roll one fewer resource die for that round.

Just played this with couple of people, really enjoyed it, good fun. Although could do with some explaination about what the "Alien Artifact" and "Mapping the Equator" expedition rewards are, we didn't understand those. Some scripting for the mod would also be nice, snapping and etc.

@CaptainQuirkz - Good question. The final 2 cards have been left out of the free TTS mod and saved for the Kickstarter campaign. This was a decision by Grand Gamers Guild, I am but a humble servant. Basically though, the 18 card expedition deck is completely intentional, you're good to go.

the game looks interesting but one thing i have noticed is that in the rules it states that there are 20 expedition cards and in the game there are only 18. is this a bug or are we only meant to have 18?
