When your gimmick is 'Lie, Cheat and Steal', you know you have to bend the rules...quite frequently in the case of Eddie Guerrero. However, despite what you'd think, he'd actually get cheered by the crowd for these illict tactics, most notably causing the referee to disqualify the opponent by feigning getting hit with an illegal object, such as a steel chair. This has proven to be a great success in the ring as well, becoming a multi-tag team champion (with other cunning superstars, such as his nephew; Chavo Guerrero, and the sneaky Tajiri), and becoming the first ever WWE United States champion, defeating Chris Benoit in the US Championship Tournament finals at Vengeance.
