This mod slightly buffs natural wonders to restore a part of their former glory from old Sid Meier's Civilization game series.

Firstly, Take a look at that screenshot.

Before Everything, I know ... I know ... there are already many "Natural Wonder" mods. And you are probably wondering "Another one again? Why?"
Well, if i can have your attention for few words, let me explain why i wasn't totally convinced by Natural Wonders re-yielding mods so far and how i created mine :

  • Natural Wonder should ALWAYS generate faith, Why ? Because realistically, in my humble opinion, such breathtaking Natural Architectures triggered at some point some existential/spiritual questions in early age Man. It's a pertinent bonus and must definitly have its place there.

  • All Natural wonders provides some minimal yields and are more balanced with each others (unlike our dear vanilla/R&F nw's, no more "oh s**t, im so unlucky this NW only provide a bonus for units !"). Also, some Natural Wonders working with adjacency bonus were way too powerful compared to regular yield Natural Wonders (because you can work a tile buffed by adjacency, and worked tile can be around +5/+6 already at medieval age ! So aside from a +1 here or there, I often barely touch to those ones.

  • More realistic bonuses (I did some long researchs for each Natural Wonder and had sometime to drastically change their yields output to fit better their history/nature/people in a better way than what the game did). For instance, the salt of the Dead Sea used to save a lot of people in early man ages, it allowed first travelers to prevent their food from rotting ... and still no food nor production bonus in vanilla. Pantanal is a heavy marsh, so it should get the same food output as a marsh (go see on web the numerous crazy life that live in here). Or else, Tsingy is known to possess exceptional fauna in it, should contain a food yield awsell & that is pertinent with surrounding tundra tiles which lack of it. Etc. !

  • Since Civilization 4, I have lost that Awwwwsome feeling I had when discovering a NW like : "Oh ! This s**t is awesome ! I MUST GET A CITY THERE ! Hmm, but I would need to declare war with my friend ... oh f**k it !" With the slight buff they gain with my mod, they now are again ! Average +2 or 3 for adjacency bonuses Or around +7 total bonus to fixed tiles wonders (remember vanilla easily compete with +4+5 improvments bonuses).

  • Reasonable sums : Some other mods make them too powerful (more than +8 bonus is a turn off in my honest opinion) and having a city close to one of those could result an easy win and we really don't want that !!! I think im around the perfect balance here.

  • My mod supports awesome & beautiful Sukritact's Natural Wonders (all 5 so far supported). By huge respect for this mod creator, i just tweaked them the least possible with often a +1 faith bonus bending so they can fit my previous criterias.

  • Few Comprehensive/highlighted lines in my main file which allow you to tweak stuff about Natural Wonders (How much you want on the map, how close, etc.) if you still don't have any mod for that.



This mod is compatible with :

- All Sukritact's Natural Wonders (Mount Fuji, Tonle Sap, Geat Blue Hole, Grand Canyon and Ngorongoro Crater)



You can find all my mods by searching "Radiant" in steam workshop, nexus, or civfanatics, which is a recurrent word in all my mod's tittles.

Even if they represent hundreds of working hours, I'm sharing my mods for free like most of mod creators. But deep down I'm really hoping you to do that little extra thing that would help me a lot : joining any of my pages (patreon, facebook, instagram). Just that really! Don't feel obliged to give something, with Patreon there is indeed a free option that grants you basic news/content and it will only take few seconds of your time. That being said I'm an artist irl and I sometimes struggle to put my personal projects on the saddle. Since I got back into this game lately, I will soon get to work on updating this mod. It's very important since after my tests, vanilla Natural wonders are still shitty and weaker than an improved normal tile (don't get why firaxis don't fix them). So brace yourselves everyone ... But first allow me some days/weeks to get back on track.
