OK, so I upgraded the thrusters, rcs, and added fuel tanks without making it look too stupid.
As far as having hardened steel, it changes the texture on many blocks to the default hardened look with rivets on the edges and rough surface but i didn't want to screw up the custom shades of color used so i left it. The only visual difference otherwise is that the thrusters aren't going to be as uniformly slick as the slanted ones, but I tried to make them even in all directions.
Exception being the downforce thrust is decreased, but I figure gravity will take care of that most of the time planetside anyway. If you want an even 19m/s^2 for both up and downforce, just remove and flip one of the vertical thruster jets (1x3x1) the opposite direction. It's just not going to look even but the performance will be.
But everything else is invisible and even has almost double runtime as well as increased acceleration performance (besides downforce) over stock. As well as only increasing production time by 1m6s instead of 19m extra for just hardened steel conversion.

Another thing I noticed, if any weapons are added to the empty bays, it will of course change the pitch acceleration from being front heavy as it is balanced without them.

Of course it's a fuel hog but I guess the next update will be assigning half the thrusters to a switch to turn them off to save fuel cost.
