XU-18 Mini Automated Mining Drill(No Scripts)

Description
https://youtu.be/7_w6llnsaF0 Check out me totally failing at my own machine! Ignore the skipping, it's not the game, it's my poor broadcast software.

The XU-18 Mini Automated Mining Drill is a simple deep core circular drill for survival. Easy to make, easy to operate, automated. If you don't like it, feel free to go use your hand drill or another time consuming drill, while the ones who do enjoy it, do more important things while getting ore. :D

-No Mods
-No Scripts
-No Rotors
-1 Piston(Landing gear)

-The settings on the ship are preset for optimal ore retrieval. Drill heads will scrape the very top of the ground to get the most possible out of all veins.
-Drill operates on Timer Block/Gyroscope locks.
-Very low CPU usage compared to bigger drills.

OPERATION
1-Go to the ore destination needed.
2-Line ship up accordingly
3-Turn on Gyrolock, Ship will stay in place and turn on its own(Speed may be adjusted)
4-(Optional) Use Drill Weapon tool to dig until ore is discovered
5-Turn on drill line
6-Activate Main Timer block
7-Go do stuff.
8-Landing gear will dock ship (if)once ship becomes overweight
****(Make sure piston lower end never goes below 0.4, to avoid overweight or unmanned ships from falling and crushing the sorters and connectors)

BUTTONS
1-Weapon Drill
2-Drill Line On/Off
3-Gyroscope Override On/Off
4-Gyroscope Increase Yaw
5-Gyroscope Decrease Yaw
6-Main Timer Block - Start
7-Timer Blocks - Stop
8-Emergency Piston
9-Emergency Landing Gear

It's not perfect, but it's basic, easy to make, and produces a substantial amount of ore to get you started without very much effort from your part. Most of the ship was built from disassembling the planetary lander.

@Patchouli the ice ejector can double as a drain, just switch the sorter block off, or change it over to black list.

where to connect it to drain the ores in my refinery

@Alpha_Wolf_Gamer I am sure it would be, if you use remote functioning. with a strong enough antenna.

is it possible to make it into a airdrop like a care package

@critproof Yeah it's literally there just to make sure your ship doesnt drop from being too heavy, and to park it of course!

It uses 3.3KN of downward thrust. The Main Timer block activates the downward thrust after a 15 second delay, while immediately triggering The Secondary Timer Block, which immediately shuts off the downward thrust and restarts the countdown on the Main Timer Block, Causing your ship to go down 0.5m every 15 seconds.
And it does use a piston. The landing gear is held on by a piston, which serves as a parking gear and also an emergency stop button incase your ship gets overweight if you forget it.

Oooooh! A non-script based atmospheric auto-miner- that doesn't use rotors or pistons! Totally giving this a go :)
Just curious typing this at work , what amount of thruster override did you use for the downward thrust?
