Description
Map inspired by Scotland, Norway, and the Pacific Northwest.

Short Self-promo:
If you like this map, please remember to give it a thumbs up! I created this map to be the basis of my let's play series of the same name, so be sure to check that out as well ( http://youtube.com/czardus )

Theme:
This map uses a custom theme ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1216255266 ). It is playable without the theme but you won't have the snow on the mountains. You also need to be subscribed to the Environment Changer mod in order to be able to use the custom theme; however, the mod doesn't have to actually be enabled in the game.

Required Assets:
This map was designed for vanilla players, and can be played without any workshop assets.

Recommended Assets/Mods:
I do recommend the following mods in order to make the graphics look a little bit better:
- Daylight Classic: ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=530871278 )
- Sharp Textures: ( https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=793176674 )

Gameplay tips:
- The buildable area of this map is limited, so you will be challenged to build around the terrain features. However, that also means the milestones require fewer population to achieve.
- The starting tile has one water spot for water intake and another spot (on the other side of the island) for the sewage outflow. There is also a “drain” in the ocean for your sewage outflow there - a necessity for playing without sewage treatment assets.
- The highway has a very boring ending specifically so that you can design it according to your own need. If you grow a large city, you may decide to extend that highway into the island. If you’re growing a small city, perhaps a roundabout would be a better option. Either way, you have the ability to change that to fit your play style.
- The low-lying areas of the map have fertile land in order to provide you with plenty of space for farms.
- This map is designed for use with ferries, if you have the Mass Transit DLC.
- If you play with the 81 tiles mod, there are a lot of additional water sources in the mountains.

More Background:
This map is inspired by some of the amazing topographical features found on the Western coasts of Norway, Scotland, and Canada. Specifically, I’ve taken the terrain from the Fosnavag, Norway area. The main highway on the map generally follows a real road, though the real one is much smaller!

Hi Czardus - your map was reviewed by BonBonB on youtube. I think you made a really good looking map. A rough and tough map: for hard working Cims. I love your rivers, and the snow on the mountains looks very good. I hoep you enjoy the review video. :-)

@martianinferno98 - Yes, though the snow on the map is actually the oil resource and the sand texture in the theme is ice, so the look may be quite a bit different (for example, there are some mountain lakes that will have sand on them in other map themes).

Is it possible to play without the map theme, if you don't fancy it?
