Description
"Mr. Puroresu" Genichiro Tenryu competed as a sumo wrestler prior to beginning his wrestling career with AJPW in 1977.

Tenryu spend most of his career working for AJPW, and he is a 3-time Triple Crown Champion. In 1999, he defeated Keiji Mutoh for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship in NJPW, making him the second man in history to have held the Triple Crown and IWGP Heavyweight titles.

Tenryu was an entrant in the 1993 and 1994 Royal Rumbles for WWF and competed at WrestleMania VII, defeating Demolition in a tag match alongside Koji Kitao.
