SC-J4 Firebird

Designed to intercept the J1 Mamba, the J4 was originally designed with better aerodynamics and a hydrogen afterburner. During the first flight test the plane achieved such high speeds it began to burn up. The pilot miraculously survived and immediately dubbed the plane the Firebird. Even with the removal of the afterburner, the J4 is still able to match the speeds of the Mamba, making it a valuable interceptor to use.
