Storage Plus

Description
My take on a expanded storage system for Kenshi. Increases the default cost of storage, but adds a much greater range of storage for all storage types. This allows for easier automation cycles with jobs to be set up, as well as things like smaller food storages to be spread around your base so guards/workers/turret users don't have to travel far to eat.

There are four storage types available for most things, from a tiny box to a large one. Fluid types, like water and fuel, now have small and large storage containers. All storage containers can be built indoors and outside, and will match the slope of the ground when placed.

Genearl Storage containers have some new additions to variations(look) as well as standard storage sizes to match. No more metal chest being smaller than the general wooden one. There is also a non-dumping version of the weapon cabinet/display and armor chest to build so workers do not dump items in them.

Storages that used to store several types, Medical, Robotics, and Crossbow Parts, now have their own individual storage containers for each resource, with the exception of medical related items, as well as a tiny/small/medium/large variation for grouped storage. These grouped storage sizes use the same stacking bonus as material storage detailed below.

Material Storage Sizes:

Tiny : Holds a stack of 5
Small : Holds a stack of 30
Medium : Holds a stack of 100
Large : Holds a stack of 300

General Food Storage Sizes:

Tiny : 6x3 - Stacks up to 2
Small : 12x12 - Stacks up to 4
Medium : 15x15 - Stacks up to 6
Large : 18x18 - Stacks up to 8

Fuel/Water Storage Sizes:

Small : Stacks up to 100
Large : Stacks up to 300

is import needed?

These are vanilla assets, the only thing this mod does is make copies of the existing storage units and increase their storage space. If you get any issues it's a vanilla problem. Only possible issue this mod can make, is that the space is so large you have to scroll to see it all :=)

Gear Storage does not accept the hauling order.Old Armour : Storage and Weapons Cabinet work normally, so in the meantime I use that. Thanks for the mod! It really helps with the clutter.

Um, with vanilla storage they will fetch from them to build things. With this storage they will not. Seems quite a difference to me.

@ElgarL - That has nothing to do with the mod, that is just something part of the base game. This mod just utilizes in-game assets to give more variations of storage capacities tied with a more sensible progression, as there is no way to adjust 'priority, only whether they are dumping points or not, which default vanilla storage mostly is.

An issue with this mod. It seems the priority is too high on these boxes. Characters will store items instead of using them in pending jobs. Give a character the Engineering job. grab some materials and instead of doing their job they put all the items back in storage, even when they have no Haul tasks.
AI dump items turned off and they STILL empty their inventories of food and all materials.
I'd hate to have to remove this mod but currently the only way I can get them to build is to turn of their jobs and do everything manually.

Liked your mod. I could not find Medium and Large storage. Then I finally opened your mod at FCS and found they were only avaiable at desk level 4 and 5. I bit overkill on my opinion. So I changed that for 2 and 3. Made more balanced to me. Storages up to 30 ammount until level 4, didn't make sense, since vanilla you could have 100 ammount right away. My suggestion would be to put this information on the description of the mod :D . Thank you again, I am enjoying It.

I'll take a look into it if I have the willpower and time, there are a LOT of storages and I'd have to go open each file individually to add in the description for the stack size. So for each and every resource I have to update the description 4 times, it adds up quickly. This was one of my first mods so I overlooked a few minor things not thinking about how tedious back-tracking would be.

Good mod, I'm not importing and it still works, thanks for this. Tho if I might make a suggestion : could you please add the stack amount in the item description. Seems like a small amount of work for something that's a huge quality of life improvement.

Can't find the double storage mod. This one I think is overdoing it. Storage should still fill up at some reasonable point. Just a bit more would be nice. Specifically for iron plates and steel bars.
