F-17C Hammerhead

The F-17C is a medium fighter intended for carrier deployments. High performance, significant system redundancies and solid firewalling of components makes this craft highly survivable in the most hostile zones. The C model of the F-17 is designed specifically for operations from Essex and Farragut class carriers. The F-17C is the medium, dual main thruster fighter specified for operations in the Fleet Tactical Battlegroup doctrine. Packing more armor and weapons than the smaller light fighters like FA-7 Scythe series, and greater internal redundancy to increase durability, the Hammerhead series brings more punch to carrier based operations than light fighters while only taking up slightly more space.
