Description
SLV-3R: Chapter 1
A new Dawn for mankind
The SS Silver Dawn is a private commission one-off special refit of a SAVTec SL-36 commercial passenger liner.
Originally registered under designation SLV-3R, she was purchased by the Society for the Furtherment of Mankind and brought to us as a rather unusual request.

Project Horizon shifts up a gear
As you may already be aware, the SFM is a privately funded organisation dedicated to science, discovery, philanthropy and expanding humanity's knowledge of the universe. Their latest venture, Project Horizon is currently a very popular news story on many chanels & is recieving a lot of interest, both public and corporate.
The project aims to send a lone vessel with minimal crew on an endless journey of exploration.
The SS Silver Dawn is that ship; and in a few days time she'll embark upon that journey.

Venturing into the unknown
When the Silver Dawn leaves our system she and her crew will become true pioneers of the galaxy, travelling further than any other ship has ever been, further perhaps than our current technology even allows us to look.
No-one knows what hardships & dangers she may encounter on her voyage, and so the Silver Dawn has been outfitted with the most advanced systems available, as well as some seriously formidable defensive weaponry.
It is of course our hope that she'll find no need to defend herself but if her mission is to be a success there can be no oversight.

Follow the Silver Dawns' journey!
We are proud to announce that SAVTec has won the contract to monitor & communicate with the Silver Dawn as she explores the cosmos.
To this end we've constructed a brand new, state of the art communications centre, as well as several fully automated "drone printers" that will build & deploy a never-ending stream of relay sattellites & arrays which will act as an expanding digital "tether" to the Silver Dawn, enabling us to maintain constant contact with her throughout her journey, no matter how far it may take her.

SAVTec invites you to join Silver Dawn on her voyage of exploration through our brand new Datanet service (Steam workshop).
We'll be posting updated information through our service as & when it becomes available, including (censored) crew logs & messages to home, star charts, scientific discoveries, photographs, sample data and all manner of fascinating tales of wonder & discovery.
You'll also be able to contact & interact with the crew as they brave the depths of space.

Press pack
Given the sensitive nature of Silver Dawn's mission, some of her technical specifications must remain classified to the public until after she's left the system. What technical data we're permitted to release for public dissemination is detailed on the specifications sheet found in our exclusive press pack.

Farewell and good luck!
We at SAVTec would like to take this opportunity to wish the Silver Dawn and her crew all the very best of fortune on their great voyage. We've had the pleasure of meeting the crew ourselves and it's our honest belief that never a finer crew has graced the cosmos.
Needless to say, they'll be flying in the best, most advanced vessel that money, sweat and blood can buy.
Although we living here today will long since be dead if and when these brave souls should ever return, the hopes and dreams of all of us go with them.

Hi @Gr8ne22. Request accepted! I can't always respond to chat messages immediately but I'll always reply when I'm able. What's your idea?

Thanks @Memur! I found the model on an image search. There are some amazing Lego ship designs out there. They make for excellent inspiration for SE builds.
Can't decide what to build? Search for Lego ships! :lunar2019coolpig:

@Happy Sugar Life... Ayup! That they do! Scary isn't it! They're pretty effective against large-grid light armour too. Chew through ammo like it's going out of fashion though!
They're meant mainly for use on big combat ships with lots of assemblers but SLV-3R needed something serious that could cover her for just long enough to escape trouble & make any attackers think twice about following.

Those turrets shreds small-grid ships beautifully

If you feel like it then yeah, I can defnitely work those in there. Could be the perfect place to start!

The first 2 or 3 "episodes" are probably going to focus on setting the stage - got a couple more builds to do to flesh out the universe I've described, then I can start introducing elements of the main storyline.

I figured it was the precursor. Do you want me to rebuild and post the artifact gates I first designed?

@Smokki... Thankyou! Yes, it does fit nicely doesn't it. That's probably why my subconscious fell in love with it!
Pretty sure it's not my model! Hehe! In my dreams maybe! I was always good with Lego but I was a technical builder with it more than an artist like this guy. Sadly haven't owned any for... 20 years or more now. I often kick myself for selling it. Had probably 300 Kg of the stuff come the end! I miss it!

Amazing as always. This even fits so well into your design style, are you sure it's not your lego model ;D
