One of the better boxers of the last decade, with two handed KO power and dangerous combinations, Alexander Povetkin won Olympic Gold at the 2004 Games, and promptly turned professional. He racked up a consistent string of victories, defeating the likes of Chris Byrd, Hasim Rahman and Ruslan Chagaev, defeating the latter to earn a piece of the Heavyweight title.

By 2012, Povetkin earned a shot at Wladimir Klitschko, a fight that resulted in severe disappointment for the challenger, thanks to Klitschko's tactical approach. Povetkin has fought on since then, looking to take his shot at the gold once again, failing a drug test shortly before a potential fight with Deontay Wilder, and most recently has challenged Anthony Joshua.
