[NS] Strigon Lancer

Nanite Systems' first proper spaceship was the Strigon, a relatively small general-purpose vehicle. While the awarded contract was for a combat vehicle, NS also offered several other configurations to whoever would buy them, from deep-space interceptors to interface shuttles, in order to recoup the massive development cost.

Much to the displeasure of everyone involved in procuring them, many Navy soldiers and officers refused to touch them even as they proved their usefulness. The people of the Nadia Republic revered military service, and in no other branch of the military was this stronger than in the Navy.

Despite continued misgivings about the reliability and value-for-money of Nanite Systems vehicles, the Strigon proved surprisingly reliable. At least one example is known to have survived to the present day, some thousand years after its construction.

The Strigon seen here is 1x scale.
The original version entered into the contest was an 0.3x scale model, and had over 450 blocks.
The final version you see in [Shadé] Space Station Defence is 0.3x scale, but has been cut down to 247 blocks.

This was based off of a Space Engineers version, which was inspired by a combination of [Nostrian99] SS-3 Rocinante and various SpaceX rockets.

Lancers are long-range attackers.
Equipped with directed-energy weapons and orbments, they strike from great distance to devastating effect. The enormous size and power demands of armaments built to reach over light-seconds almost always results in purpose-built ships, with defensive measures left to shielders.
