Yunagi Class Frigate

The Yunagi class frigate is a class 1 size, single main thruster vessel designed for system patrol or escort of larger capital vessels. Thinner skinned than it's larger cousins, the Yunagi is a smaller, more agile vessel.

Ship design inspired by Space Battleship Yamato generally, name inspired by a specific ship from the 2202 series. The Yunagi Class Frigate is designed for operating within the Fleet Tactical Battlegroup doctrine as a fast screening vessel and forward fleet scout vessel.

All Fleet Tactical Battlegroup doctrine certified ships adhere to basic survival rules and are limited to size class 5 (Yunagi being size class 1) as the largest vessel, and scale downwards from there. While usable in single player survival, all Fleet Tactical Battlegroup doctrine ships shine brightest when used in multiplayer with a team of players. All ships are MP and PvP ready, having heavily firewalled internal components. The Yunagi class frigate is the only ship in the FTB doctrine to not have a secondary battle bridge due to small size constraints.
