Description
Coastal steamer SS Lavernock
A 'modernised' coastal steamer of the same class as the Dunraven, the Lavernock boasts a high top speed and the ability to work in advanced mode :D

Please read the following or you will not know what to do

Features:
Generator and propulsion engines
Working anchors
Working boom crane
Watertight cargo hatch
Top speed of 13 knots
Crew capacity of 8 and 2 guests (seperate quarters for officers)
Scuba gear in captain's quarters - everyone has a hobby
Enclosed wheelhouse or exposed bridge to command from
Interior, navigation and running (exterior) lights
Dinning area with fully stocked liquour cabient and grandfather clock
2 motor launches on independent davits (in built stabilisers prevent rolling when boats are launched 1 at a time)
Funnel actually connects all the way to the engine room - try and keep the water out
Refuling port for generator and main engine
Triple sinking methods
GPS Autopilot (credit to tajin)

To start:
Head to the front of the cargo hatch and enter the acrgo hold via the hatch.
Enter the generator room and start the generator by holding the start generator button for until it kicks in.
Then head to the rear of the ship and open the door labelled 'engineering'
Head down the ladder
Hold the button labelled 'ignition'
Once this engine is running, head to one of the helms and throttle up.

To Control the ship:
As mentioned above, Lavernock features 2 helms, an enclosed wheelhouse and an exposed bridge. Both have full control over engine speed and direction but only 1 can be used at a time. To toggle between them, use the button laballed 'switch control' - the indicator lamp shows which helm is in control.
To reverse, click the button 'reverse' in the wheelhouse or on the bridge - reversing is slower than forward.

To control the boats:
Extend the davits and lower them into the water.
Throttle is controlled with W and S

To Sink:
Head down into engineering
Open the tool locker
Turn the key 'unlock scuttle' and press the button 'scuttle' in the bottom left
The ship will slowly lower in the water.
Soon, the generator will cut out.
A little later and the main engine will cut out.
Time is of the essence now as the ships electricity will start to deplete
After a while, the ship will split leaving the stern which will slowly go under
Total sink time around 15 mins

OR

Unlock the cargo hatch (you do NOT need to open all the way)
Turn the wind up to atleast 40%
Try and hit the waves so the water is breaking over the cargo hatch - I find hitting them diagonally with the bow is best
This method is far more unpredicable it depends on how fast you get water in the hold and how strong the waves are
Eventually once enough water is in the hold, the ship will stop as with the previous method
Things will happen very quickly after this as the hold is rapidly filled with water and the ship is split apart by the forces.
Sink time is really fast

OR
Simply spawn a tsunami. Once the ship is picked up by the waves, it will break and begin sinking.

Warranty void if cargo hatch left unlocked

Almost four years ago when I started playing the Lavernock was my absolute favourite vessel. I've came back here more or less by accident, seeing the comments that she's broken. And I agree she needs to be fixed! Even more tho. She really deserves to be modernized.
