Hover Controller [noMods] [v1.0] - Make your ship hover stably

Description
The Hover Controller is a piece of hardware made specifically for flying vehicles. Installing this on any ship will give it the ability to maintain a still hovering position in the air. By attaching it to the bearings of vertical rotating thrusters the
HC will calculate their perfect rotation towards the ground so that the ship will never fall but neither go up.

The HC has been the missing brick in Scrap Mechanic's flying technology alongside the Gyroscope invented by Snowcrash. Together with a gyroscope and the HC there's nothing more to worry about when making a flying ship. The days of manually balancing your ship with carefully placed weights is over. You can now make ships that transport other stuff or vehicles because the HC will adapt the ship to the extra weight while the gyoscope will do its job keeping your ship balanced!

The HC has been made to easily understand and install. With 30 core logic gates it might look like mess but any logic gate you might want to touch are color coded or placed away from the core to make them easily recognizable. Its design is also made to be very compact and it's no problem at all to strip away the outer layer without breaking its functionality. To access the inner core you only need to push the button in the back. The outer layer, though having some visible logic gates, is purely cosmetically. The 7 adjacent logic gates upfront are there to help you understand what the HC is doing. The middle logic gate displays when the ship is maintaining a perfect balance. The 3 logic gates at each side display how strong the HC is correcting any vertical velocity depending on going up or going down.

* Does not require mods. Does not influence framerate. Only one glitch used, namely the self-attached logic gate by Legofreak to serve as a 1-frame clock to make the HC more compact.

Installation

* The HC comes with a lift so you can easely lift it and weld it from underneath. First remove the white tube attaching it to the lift then push the button to lift it so you can access it from underneath.

First you need to install your thruster setup. Your thrusters need to be able to rotate vertically with bearings. And for every thruster that rotates to one side there needs to be another rotating to the other side. This will cancel out any horizontal directional velocity.

After you've done that you need to decide which controller you're going to use. You can use the upper red controller on the HC, or attach the red logic gate below it to your desired controllers. Warning when using multiple controllers, make sure their speed are all identical, otherwise your ship will get out of balance. Attach the bearings of your thrusters to the controllers and set their second rotation to 90 degrees. Leave their initial rotation on 0.

Now attach the right and left red logic gates on top of the HC to your main buttons. Activating the right one will make your ship go up. The left one will make you go down.

Tweaking

Because the HC is in a very early stage, depending on the size and weight of your ship you might need to do some tweaking. Before you do that, you need to understand some things. The HC has 3 different stages in how fast it will turn your thrusters and adapt to vertical velocity. If there's a lot of vertical velocity the thrusters will turn at max speed defined in the controllers. How fast they will go on lower velocity and in very slow velocity are determined in the timers inside the back of the HC. The red timer is for middle speed and the blue timer for the slower more precise movements.

Secondly, there's also the timing of those 3 different stages you can configure. It might be that the thrusters turn too early or too late to one of its stages making the ship never find its balance. The HC has a weight that moves when you go up or down. There are 6 sensors below that weight, 3 that measure levitation speed and 3 that measure falling speed. Changing the position of those sensors in the white controller inside the back of the HC will change the timing.
