Description
Former Tough Enough contestant Patrick Clark finished in 9th place during his season on the reality series, and judges felt that Clark's lack of humility would be a hindrance to his career. Fast forward a few years, and Clark, now appearing as Velveteen Dream, is a cocky and charismatic future star.

Clark signed with WWE in fall 2015 and began appearing under his real name until taking on the Dream gimmick in spring 2017. He had a starmaking performance at TakeOver: WarGames despite suffering a loss to Aleister Black. Over the course of their rivalry, which was recognized as NXT's rivalry of the year, Velveteen Dream frequently demanded that Black call him by his name, which Black refused to do. In a sign of respect after their TakeOver match, Black finally addressed him as Velveteen Dream.

The extremely athletic Dream should have his time on the main roster before too long.
