Hammer V3

Description
More powerful than ever! Crush your enemies. Smash them right in the sensors and launch them out of the arena when they're too punch drunk to care. Big bots? Spinning bots? Multi-bots? Hammer them all. Brute force with special application.

Changes:
-Replaced outer arm sensors with sumo border sensors
-Added border awareness via tags and not-gates
-Relocated remaining sensors; less self-destruction
-Extended arms for optimal smush
-Relocated thrusters for more rotational force
-Added additional forward thruster; more git!
-Less wiggle; was fun but unstable

i copied this drone (dont panic) and made it into a devistating warrior drone by adding springs to cushion the impact so that it would not shatter on impact like it usualy does, replaced the distance sensors with area sensors to improve its blow range, and added spikes to the springs i metioned earlier. i made it to the finals in the brawl arena. thanks so much for the fab drone frame.

I don't think it killed itself. I think Moon (Melee half of Sun and Moon duo) hit it once, then sustained major damage in the process. After that I don't remember. A second Hammer might be a good idea. With longer arms.
And it moves faster.

I'm not surprised. The physics of this game have changed drastically since I made Hammer, and unfortunately, it's prone to ripping its arms off or even exploding when it spins, let alone hits something. It used to be pretty stable and a good whop would either send a drone flying or rip a huge chunk of it away. I might get on and redesign it sometime, I started playing again a couple weeks ago to go through the campaign but haven't really looked at other modes.

Heh, I beat this thing. noice drone, but Sun and Moon (my own creation) beat it 3x in a row.

So this is where those hammer sumo drones came from. This is a good design and i like jump thrusters crushing enemies.

Wow! I didn't expect this to take off at all! Thanks for the downloads and comments everyone!

B.A.B. you're right, it's not super intelligent to avoid ring-out. I limited myself to 50 parts and really just thought I couldn't make it smarter without sacrificing power. I may swap out the buttons with not-gates to remedy that, in retrospect. There is however a 2.0 version that is much more finely tuned, and one of its sensors was fixed after being set to detect terrain by mistake. Give that one a go and let me know what you think! :)
