Report a translation problem
1) Blender. It is free. It has a learning curve, but just to raise ground of a map is pretty easy.
2)Import image as plane. An add-on for Blender. Can be accessed from Blender by File>User Preferences>Add ons.
3)Upload your map(image). File>Import>Import image as plane.
4)Change Display method to Textures. This icon is near the bottom next to Object Mode.
5)Change Object mode to Edit Mode.
6)Choose Face Select. It is one of the icons near the bottom.
7)Highlight the face, click number pad 3 for a side view the the 'e' key to extrude. Raise the entire map a small amount.
8)Click 5 and then 7 on the number pad for top view, use the scroll wheel on the mouse to zoom in/out. Hold the shift key and scroll wheel button while moving the mouse to navigate.
9)Hit the 'k' key. This brings up the knife tool.
10)With the knife tool outline the area you wish to raise/lower. Hit 'Enter' when done. Note: 'Control-Z' is undo last action.
12)Repeat for other areas you wish to raise or lower.
13)When done hit 'Control-T' to triangulate. This allows for use in TTS.
14)Change Edit mode to Object mode. Make sure object is highlighted.
15)File>Export>Wavefront(.obj)
16)Choose <Selection Only> and deselect <Write Materials>. All other option can be left as they are. Now save the file to somewhere you can find it by choosing a location and clicking <Export OBJ>.
17)In TTS, go to any room or table and click Objects>Components>Custom>Model.
18)Under Model/Mesh click local files and find your map. Also put this same file under Collider, For Diffuse/Image chose the original image file of your map. Choose Non-Convex and on the Material page, change Plastic to Cardboard.
19)Click 'L' to lock model, resize if needed.
