Take one look at Takuma Suzukiyama, and the first thing one might think is "Damn, that guy's gotta be REALLY confident to shave his head and just leave a ponytail", and you'd be right, because the hard-hitting "SuzuTaku" cares not what mere mortals think of his coiffure.

Brought up in the tougher-than-nails Young Eagle's Nest of Neo Strong Wrestling, Takuma's work ethic and endurance far outshone his other still-better-than-average attributes, and would influence both his moveset AND his character when NSW entered its New Millennium Resurgence in the late 2000's.

When Suzukiyama returned from his Foreign Exchange Epoch, he was drafted to the faction ELEMENT, as "Young Lightning"; his increasing aggression and focuses on hard striking and tightly-locked submissions in big-match environments eventually earned him evolution from "Young Lightning" to "Lightning Beast" (Kaminari no Kemono).

After losing a Hair Versus Mask match, Takuma decided to go back to his roots and completely change his style up, focusing almost entirely on basic moves, but with the mission of doing them better than ANYONE else.

To accomplish this, he officially broke ties with ELEMENT in 2013 and formed the faction BASIC, with the objective of proving that even in the new millennium, the basics will always win out over flashy maneuvers.
The NSW "Back to Basics" event in 2018 centers around Suzukiyama and his group trying to prove their dominance over the company.
