Orassans

Description
Adds a race of bipedal felines.

Orassans are a race of bipedal feline-like creatures. They hail from a cold and wet planet that orbits a gas giant. Given their planet's higher gravity, they evolved to be a bit smaller than humans, but watch out for their claws!

Adds:
-Cat people
-About a dozen new weapons
-3 new suits of armor
-Plants that can be grown in cold temperatures
-An adorable little animal reminiscent of ori from ori and the blind forest

Bug reports without an error log will be deleted

If you are tracking a mod in 1.6 that is blocking plant growth, you found it.

To the author, I'm not posting this as an attack or a "hurry up and fix." some mods work even when not updated. This is only for my fellow players that are trying to find out why their corn has been sitting there for a year with a wierd text error that says something about a harmony error and starts with "GetInspectString".

Removing this mod will fix it, but will kill any active runs as the overworld map will crash you, So you'll need to start a new game.

I'm working on a new cat-race mod using Vanilla-Expanded and xenotypes/genes instead of using Humanoid Alien Races. It's going well so far, but who knows if it will ever be good enough to publish.

May I reuse some of the Orassans textures or base my new textures on some of them, so long as I credit Diana and this Orassans mod? If not, no biggie. They are at least helping me with testing. I love so many of the textures from the Orassans mod, and I've even had decent luck so far altering them to create multi-color coats using both hair and skin color to create different calico combinations, etc.

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm a C# veteran by trade, so I might indeed see what I can do. Like I said though, I'm grateful enough for the work you've done over the last couple of expansions.

@scradam Thanks for the touching story! While I would love to update the mod, life is kinda kicking my butt right now between work and my other obligations. I might look into updating at some point, but I'd be plenty happy to allow others to do so in my stead (largely because I do not play rimworld anymore these days)

A lot of people joke about all the war crimes and ridiculous atrocities we commit in RimWorld, but RimWorld and your Orassans mod in particular can make for something truly wholesome as well. A few years ago, your Orassans mod helped me through a particularly hard time in my life with the passing of my two elderly little girls (cats). After their passing, my wife and I individually used Character Editor with Orassans as our cats to reassemble our family as our starting parties. Instead of dwelling on our cats' deteriorating health and ultimately their loss in life, we made them undying, bionic, skilled leaders, counselors, doctors, traders, and raider killing super soldiers in game.

My wife and I both love the ridiculous adventures we've been on with our lost loved ones, thanks to you. After we were well enough again to open our hearts to two new adoptions, we've brought our two new cats along too in our latest Anomaly playthroughs. The six of us all working together, carving out settlements, adventuring, and committing war crimes together is epic. Yeah, I know the timing of my meager ko-fi donation is suspiciously close to the release of Odyssey, but please do not think of it is a bribe to upgrade. This is just a long overdue thank you for the impact you've had on one random guy somewhere else in the world over the last few years. I owe you.

This world (our real world) can be a tough place where it's easy to dwell on all the ugliness and bad things sometimes. Thank you for helping create a place that makes me smile and helps me remember the good things (in RimWorld, of all places, right?!)

Blue Cat Lilly no longer seen as available?

I had several tailoring bills queued to use Blue Cat Lilly exclusively. (I'm in a zone where it gets cold, but not overwhelmingly hot. So I have thousands of Blue Cat Lilly in storage and about 225 on a shelf right next to the tailoring station.

It was working until about 3 days ago, when suddenly the bills for anything using only Blue Cat Lilly come up as "missing fabric or leather"

As far as I can see there are no updates to any mods I have installed and no updates to the game since the last time this was working. Closing the game and restarting, starting a new game, or deleting and recreating the bills doesn't work. It's as if Blue Cat Lilly is available to select as a material, but isn't detected as an available resource to use, although it does still appear in the resource list on the left side of the UI.

I don't suppose anyone has seen and resolved this?

There seems to be a bug with this mod that causes Unrefined Synchronisity to be required to perform ANY kind of operation; I started a colony with only Humanoid Alien Races and this mod and the bug was still present, so it's definitely not an issue of compatibility.
